There are mess facilities and round-the-clock canteen facilities with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food available to the students. Various other snacks, biscuits, chocolates, ice cream and soft drinks are available in the mess itself. Apart from the regular mess, a night canteen is run from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for students to order anything from noodles to parathas. Apart from this, JAM— a students’ initiative that provides fresh fruits and juices etc. is also available on the hostel premises. Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore, also known as IIM-I is the sixth IIM established under the IIM legacy. IIM Indore has been ranked 8 under the Management category by the NIRF Ranking 2025. It is one of the prominent public B-schools in India with autonomous status. IIM Indore offers great placement opportunities. The highest and average package offered during IIM Indore placements 2023 stood at INR 1.14 crore per annum and INR 30.21 LPA, respectively. This institute is known for its two-year, full-time, residential flagship PGP (also referred to as MBA) programme, admission to which is offered based on a valid score in CAT. The percentile of CAT for IIM Indore reached up to 98 percentile in the past years which shows how rigorous it is for a student to get admission to this institute.

IIM Indore offers a five-year integrated programme in Management accredited by the Association of MBAs, AMBA London. This five-year Management programme is a combination of both UG (BBA) and PG (MBA) course. Aimed at students who have completed their Class 12 from a recognised board in India, the last two years of the programme are at the PG level. Candidates who have passed Class 12 or HSc or equivalent examination in 2021, 2022 or appearing in 2023 can apply for IIM Indore IPM course. 

IPMAT application process 2025 started on February 14, 2025. The registration window will be open for approximately a month. The last date to apply for IIM Indore IPM was March 27, 2025. IPMAT 2025 was conducted on May 12, 2025. The complete schedule of IPMAT exam was announced online and is also available on the official website of IIM Indore.
The application schedule for IIFT and IIM Amritsar will be announced on their official websites. The IPMAT application process begins with the IPMAT registration and application fee payment. Candidates need to submit their IPMAT application form before the deadline. Candidates will have to choose the their preferred institutes as well as test centres while filling the IPMAT application form. Candidates can apply for all the institutes which accept IPMAT scores after the results are declared and they match the cutoff criteria. 

The weightage given to Class 12 marks while shortlisting candidates for the personal interview round is 40%, which is the highest among other factors. However, while preparing the final merit list after PI round for admission offers, the weightage of class 12 marks comes down to 10%. Hence, it can be concluded that having a good score in Class 12 is an advantage for candidates seeking admission to IIM Indore MBA.

CAT cutoffs are usually not announced with the CAT result. The CAT cutoffs are also not released to the public.

They are published after a few days of the result announcement when the IIMs and other colleges start their shortlisting process. The IIMs opens their shortlisting window based on the CAT cut-offs two to three days after the result announcement. The CAT percentile of candidates shortlisted for the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI) can be considered the cut-off for that IIM. For example, if a candidate with a CAT percentile of 99 belonging to the General category is selected for the WAT/GD-PI of IIM Calcutta, then the CAT cut-off for IIM Calcutta is 99 percentile. Only those candidates who make it to the WAT/GD-PI round of IIMs will get to know the cut-offs.

As per the NIRF 2025 ranking, IIM Indore has been ranked in the 8th position under the 'Management' category. For 2026, NIRF has yet to announce the rankings. 

There are single-seated/twin-sharing accommodation facilities available for all the students on the campus premises with separate blocks/floors for men and women. The hostels are interconnected, mostly in blocks of three. Each hostel block has a common room where facilities such as wall-mounted televisions with DTH connection, table-tennis tables, dart games and carrom and chess games are available. Each block is also equipped with water coolers and water purifiers. The individual rooms are furnished with teak cots and mattress, a computer table, chairs, closets and shelves. All rooms have full-time internet connectivity with direct lines to the main LAN.

Yes, IIM Indore conducts IPMAT for shortlisting candidates for the BBA programme. It is an online two hour exam conducted in online mode. There is only one slot for the IPMAT exam. The exam includes multiple choice questions in two sections-Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability.

IIM Indore gives 65% weightage to IPMAT and 35% to the personal interview round. Aspirants need to score well in IPMAT to get admission to BBA course of IIM Indore.

CAT application fee is INR 2700 for General candidates and INR 1350 for SC/ST/PwD candidates. The fee amount is to be paid online at the time of application form submission.

Yes, candidates can get admission in IIM Indore without CAT for two programmes: Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) and Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP). Admission into IPM is based on the IPMAT (Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test), followed by a Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Admission into EPGP is based on GMAT or GRE score.

IIM Indore provides Need-Based Financial Assistance (NBFA) to PGP, PGP HRM (PGPH) and Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) students with annual family income below INR 12 LPA. The objective of the Need-Based Financial Assistance (NBFA) at IIM Indore is to ensure that no participant is deprived of education at the institute for financial reasons.
