IIT Delhi's Summer Research Fellowship Programmes has been constituted for providing an opportunity to exceptionally good engineering institutes (other then IITs) in India or abroad, to execute an innovative research and development project under the guidance of the institute's faculty.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi is now inviting applications for the Summer Research Fellowship Programme 2023 for MTech/ ME students. IIT Delhi's Summer Research Fellowship Programmes has been constituted for providing an opportunity to exceptionally good engineering institutes (other then IITs) in India or abroad, to execute an innovative research and development project under the guidance of the institute's faculty.
The duration of the fellowship is eight weeks during the summer vacation. The fellowship will cover the following: (i) Cost of travel (Train-Sleeper class) in the country, to and from IIT Delhi (ii) Free boarding and lodging in the Institute hostels and (iii) Fellowship of INR 500/- per week. The selected fellow will be required to get himself/herself insured against any eventuality for the period stay at this Institute. The fellow will have to bear the insurance charges. The selected fellow will register at IIT Delhi as a visiting student; he/she will not be required to pay Institute registration fees.
Only those candidates who have completed MTech/ ME or one year of study and are within top ten ranks and have secured at least 70 per cent marks or CGPA of 7.00 (on a 10-point scale) at the end of the first year, in her/his respective programme are eligible to apply for the research fellowship programme.
Candidates who are interested to apply for this fellowship programme will have to first contact a faculty member at IIT Delhi in his/her area of interest and obtain his/her consent to guide. The applicant should then submit (i) Application form (ii) Resume (iii) Consolidated grade card (iv) Rank Certificate, in class, if any (v) No Objection Certificate from the parent institution stating the starting and ending dates for carrying out full time online research work at IIT Delhi under the fellowship programme (vi) One Photograph (Passport size) pasted on application form (vii) One reference letter (viii) Consent from IIT Delhi faculty to ‘Asst. Registrar (Academics), LHC-301, IIT Delhi, Hauz Khas, New Delhi-110016’ to reach on or before May 4th, 2023.
