5-day digital training programme

The COVID-19 pandemic crisis has had a drastic impact on how teaching and leaning is done. Many teachers do not have digital devices or are not familiar with the digital medium. The challenge places the onus on teachers to upskill themselves in competencies such as classroom communication, content development, etc. Keeping this in mind, the Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC) of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has initiated a five-day online training programme for polytechnic teachers of government colleges of Uttar Pradesh.

The objective is to enlighten them with the challenges and opportunities in present and post COVID-19 situations.  Inaugurated by Prof BV Rathish Kumar, Head, Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), IIT Kanpur, joined by 89 lecturers from different polytechnics, the programme is curated with interactive sessions with industry partners, faculty members and directors of startup companies.

CRUBN, an incubated company of IIT Kanpur, that provides state-of-the-art blockchain solutions for government and business entities across the world, has joined hands with the Centre for Smart Governance, a premier software development agency of the Karnataka government, to develop a permissioned blockchain network as a decentralised trust and efficiency layer for all e-Government Procurement (e-GP) systems across the country. The partnership aims at easing the hassle of the existing systems by making more than 50 operational e-GP systems across the country interoperable, which, up till now, work in silos.
