Lucknow University Admissions 2021: Entrance exam for PhD courses likely to be held online

The university has received around 4,500 applications for admission to over 400 PhD seats.

Lucknow University Admission 2021: In wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Lucknow University is likely to hold an online entrance exam for the students seeking admission to its PhD courses. Unlike previous years, the entrance tests will not only be held in Lucknow but also in others cities.
A separate entrance test will be held for admission to full-time and part-time PhD courses. The cities where the entrance test is likely to be held are Noida, Ghaziabad, Delhi, Varanasi and Prayagraj. The university has received around 4,500 applications for admission to over 400 PhD seats.
“We are planning to conduct entrance tests in several cities considering the pandemic situation. The names of the cities where the entrance test will be held are yet to be finalized. Those cities will be selected as centers from where the high number of applications will be received,” said admission coordinator Pankaj Mathur.

The merit list will be displayed on the university’s website and departmental/ institute's notice board.  Meanwhile, the final selection of candidates for the part-time PhD programme will be based on the separate entrance test.

Meanwhile, the Lucknow University Admissions 2021 deadline has been extended. The decision has been taken considering the ongoing pandemic situation and restrictions imposed all over the country in order to contain the rapidly spreading novel coronavirus. Now, candidates interested in Lucknow University Admissions 2021 to UG, PG and other courses at the university, can fill the forms by June 30. Applicants must note that this extension is also applicable to professional courses such as BBA, MBA, BCA and BLEd, among others.
