Mumbai University End-semester Exams 2023: New Exam Centres allotted, Admit Card Still Awaited
Mumbai University has allocated new exam centers to 1700 students at nearby affiliated colleges. The move comes after Mumbai Univerisity had messed up allotting over 2000 students to an exam center whose capacity was to accommodate only 300 students. Though the varsity has allotted the new exam center, the fresh hall tickets are yet to be distributed. The third-year BCom examination is scheduled to begin on April 5, 2023.
The Mumbai University spokesperson said that “New exam centers have been allocated to all students at different affiliated colleges and the hall tickets are ready but are yet to be distributed.” Earlier, the JM Patel college, which is affiliated with the varsity and conducts end-semester examinations for third-year students every year, was allocated large number of students for papers like Accounts, Finance, and Human Resource Management while the number allotted for subjects like Computer Sciences was comparatively less.
Meanwhile, a senior professor from JM Patel College, told FPJ that "hosting 2000 students is out of the question with having the capacity to accommodate only 240 students. There are only two TY BCom classrooms within the institute, despite which MU has been allotting an excess number of students to the college over the past few years."
Earlier, the varsity released over 2 lakh admit cards for all those students who will be appearing for their Mumbai University end-semester exams 2023 between March and May 2023. The admit cards were uploaded by the varsity online on the official Mumbai University website.
