Mumbai University Exams 2023: Mumbai University has announced that it has postponed 30 exams that were scheduled to be conducted on January 30, 2023. The Mumbai University Semester Exams 2023 have been postponed over the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Council (MLC) elections.

The postponed exams will now be held on February 7. Exams for Master of Law (LLM) Semester III and Master of Commerce (MCom) Part II are among those that have been postponed.

Meanwhile, citing transportation and administrative challenges, many teachers have suggested that a school holiday be declared for January 30 on account of MLC polls (teachers constituency). This time, even private unaided school teachers (from CBSE etc) are on the voters list, and some say it's not possible to reach their voting booth.

Ashnarayan Tiwari, executive member of School Headmasters Charitable Association, said, “Teachers have been given four hours for voting but if a school is outside city limits and teachers commute by school bus, how will they come to vote? Also, for city-based schools, it becomes a challenge for principals to rotate duties to manage children, if teachers go for voting,” as reported by TOI.
