TISS PhD admissions begin, submit applications by February 25

TISS PhD Admissions 2021: Tata Institute of Social Sciences, a Deemed to be University commenced the admission application process for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy Programme (PhD) 2021 at its Mumbai Campus, Hyderabad and Tuljapur Off Campuses. Candidates interested in TISS PhD admissions 2021 must note that the last date to submit applications online is February 25, 2021. Candidates can apply at https://admissions.tiss.edu/. While applying for TISS research programme, the applicant should have a Second Class Master’s or equivalent degree in the relevant subject awarded by a recognised university in India or abroad, with a minimum aggregate of 55% or a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 under the seven-point scale of the UGC (45% or GPA of 2.50 for SC/ST/OBC/Differently-abled candidates. Those with MPhil or equivalent degree awarded by a recognized university in India or abroad are also eligible for a PhD

Applicants with a minimum of five years of post-Post-graduation work experience can apply for the programme. Applicants are required to submit a research proposal consisting of approximately 1,000 words and should indicate the Specification of the broad field of study, Statement of the research problem and scope and objectives of the study, rationale for and the significance of the study, a methodology to be followed, references, and the candidate’s research/work experience in that area, if any.

Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for Research Aptitude Test (RAT) on basis of them meeting the requirements with regard to educational qualifications, work experience and research proposal. The date of the RAT will be announced later.
