NIFT released the names of shortlisted and non-shortlisted students on the official website today. All the selected candidates ( for provisionally allotted seat) must pay the applicable fees by June 02, 2025 (11.59 PM IST) to confirm their admission. 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced its weeding out policy for the NIFT Entrance Examination 2025. According to the guidelines, the records related to the NIFT 2025 exam will be preserved for only 90 days from the date of result declaration. After this period, all data, including answer sheets and score details, may be discarded as part of the routine record management process

The Personal Interviews (For PG) for the shortlisted candidates will be conducted in Delhi on the following dates: 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 May, and 2, 3 June 2025.

NIFT 2025 offers approximately 5,289 seats across 19 campuses in India for various undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The exact number of seats per program and campus can vary and is subject to the seat matrix for the academic year.

NIFT Situation Test/ Studio Test is a hands-on model-making test, where candidates will be given materials to create a three-dimensional model based on a given theme or problem.

Approximately 4-5 times the number of available seats qualify for the Situation Test.

NIFT Stage 2 will be conducted on May 26, 2025, for PG Programmes (M.Des., M.F.M., and M.F.Tech.). NTA NIFT Stage 2 will include a Personal Interview. The interview will continue for 8-10 days. 

The NTA NIFT Stage 2 Entrance Examination for UG programmes will be conducted on June 08, 2025. Stage 2 includes Situation Test/ Studio Test/, and Personal Interview.

The record of the NIFT Entrance Examination-2025 will be preserved up to 90 days from the date of declaration of result.

The NIFT 2025 Final merit list is based on performance in the Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT), Situation Test, Studio Test and/or Personal Interview, depending on the program.

After the Situation Test, NIFT prepares a final merit list based on the weighted average of GAT, CAT, and Situation Test scores. Qualified candidates are then invited for counselling.

For Situation/ Studio Test, practice model questions, build a strong portfolio, and develop communication skills. Review previous year’s test patterns and feedback from successful candidates.

There is no dress code for the NTA NIFT Situation/ Studio Test. But it is advisable to dress up neatly and smartly. Formal dress code is preferable for Interviews.

If a candidate misses his Stage 2 Exams, he will be disqualified automatically from the NIFT final merit list.

NIFT Situation Test 2025 for Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) will include model construction, material handling, creativity, and innovation.

The Stage 2 Examination for PG Programmes (M.Des, M.F.M., M.F.Tech) will be held only in Delhi. The exact details will be released in the Call Letter. 

B.Des. (Artisans) category Stage 2 Examination will also be held at the Designated Test Centre on June 08, 2025. More details will be released by NTA soon.

B.Des (NLEA) Stage 2 will be held at the designated Test centres selected by NTA NIFT. The names of the Test centres will be released shortly by NTA/NIFT. 

NTA will conduct the Stage 2 Examination for B.Des (Bachelor of Design) across 18 cities in India. The names of the cities will be released shortly by NTA/NIFT. 

The NIFT Stage 2 exams for PG Programmes (M.Des, M.F.M., M.F.Tech) will include a personal Interview, and it will be conducted on May 26, 2025, in Delhi.

NTA NIFT Stage 2 Examination for PG Programmes (M.Des, M.F.M., M.F.Tech) will include only a Personal Interview.

The B.F.Tech (NLEA) Stage 2 Examination will include a Technical Ability Test (TAT) and a Personal Interview. The TAT will be in paper-based (OMR) format. 

The NTA NIFT Stage 2 Examination in the B.Des programme includes a Situation Test; for B.Des (NLEA), it will include Studio Test + Personal Interview, and for B.Des (Artisans), the examination will include Artisan Skill Test + Personal Interview.
