NIFT has a total of 19 campuses across India offering admissions for the 2025 academic session. Candidates can choose their preferred campuses during counselling based on seat availability and rank.

NTA will conduct the Stage 2 Examination for B.Des (Bachelor of Design) across 18 cities in India. The names of the cities will be released shortly by NTA/NIFT. 

The record of the NIFT Entrance Examination-2025 will be preserved up to 90 days from the date of declaration of result.

In case of equal scores, the marks obtained in tests with higher weightage will be compared first to break the tie.

The weightage of different stages in NIFT 2025 selection process are:

• Des: CAT (50%), GAT (30%), Situation Test (20%)
• Des: CAT (40%), GAT (30%), GD/PI (30%)
• MFM/MFTech: GAT (70%), GD/PI (30%)

It is a hands-on model-making test, where candidates will be given materials to create a three-dimensional model based on a given theme or problem.

For NIFT 2025, B.Des, the selection process includes a Situation Test, while for M.Des, MFM, and MFTech, it includes a Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Final merit will be based on performance in all these stages.

For Stage 2 B.F.Tech. (NLEA), a Technical Ability Test (TAT) and a Personal Interview will be conducted on June 08, 2025. The TAT will be in paper-based (OMR) format.

The NIFT 2025 final merit list is based on performance in the Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT), Situation Test, and/or Personal Interview, depending on the program.

Candidates need to present the following documents:

B.Des. (Artisans) category Stage 2 Examination will also be held at the Designated Test Centre on June 08, 2025. More details will be released by NTA soon.

B.Des (NLEA) Stage 2 will be held at the designated Test centres selected by NTA NIFT. The names of the Test centres will be released shortly by NTA/NIFT. 

NTA will conduct the Stage 2 Examination for B.Des (Bachelor of Design) across 18 cities in India. The names of the cities will be released shortly by NTA/NIFT in the Admit Card. 

NTA NIFT Stage 2 Examination for PG Programmes (M.Des, M.F.M., M.F.Tech) will include only a Personal Interview.

The B.F.Tech (NLEA) Stage 2 Examination will include a Technical Ability Test (TAT) and a Personal Interview. The TAT will be in paper-based (OMR) format. 

The NTA NIFT Stage 2 Examination in the B.Des programme includes a Situation Test; for B.Des (NLEA), it will include Studio Test + Personal Interview, and for B.Des (Artisans), the examination will include Artisan Skill Test + Personal Interview.

Missing the Situation Test will automatically disqualify a candidate from the NIFT 2025 final merit list.

The NIFT Stage 2 Admit Card can be released anytime on the official website. It can be downloaded using the Application Number and Date of Birth.

No, NIFT City Initmation and Admit Card are different from each other. The City Intimation Slip only informs candidates about the city where the NTA NIFT Stage 2 examination will be conducted to help candidates plan travel in advance.

The NIFT Admit Card will have the exact venue, test centre details, timings, and other information related to the exam. The Admit Card will be released shortly.

NTA released the City Intimation Slips for B.Des, B.Des. (NLEA), B.Des. (Artisans)  and B.F.Tech. (NLEA) on May 24, 2025, on the official website. It contains information related to the city in which the exam will be held.

While there is no strict dress code, smart, neat, and comfortable clothing is advised. For interviews, formal or semi-formal attire is appropriate.
