UCEED Cut off 2026 LIVE Updates: Cutoff Marks (Mean and Standard Deviation), IIT-wise Opening/Closing Ranks

The UCEED 2026 result and scorecard will contain the following information:

• Name
• Roll number
• Part A marks will be displayed for all candidates
• Part B, Total Score, and Merit Rank (s) will be displayed only for candidates who have qualified UCEED 2026 exam.
• Category-wise qualifying marks

The counseling for UCEED 2026 participating colleges will be conducted by IIT Bombay in online mode as a Joint Seat Allotment process. 

The allotment of seats to the B.Des program will be based on the following factors:

1. The UCEED 2026 merit rank
2. Reservation category
3. Seats available in each institute at the time of seat allocation.
4. Choices of institutes picked at the time of filing the counseling application form.

UCEED 2026 Rank list will be prepared based on the total marks (Part-A marks and Part-B marks combined) in UCEED 2026. 

UCEED Part-A of the examination is a computer-based test. There will be no scope for reviewing, regrading, or re-totalling the UCEED Part-A marks.

The candidates belonging to the reserved categories shall have to fulfil a relaxed cut-off mark, which will be 0.9𝛿 for OBC-NCL/EWS, 0.5𝛿 for SC/ST/PwD, where 𝛿 is the cut-off mark for OPEN category.

There are 6 IITs participating in UCEED Joint Counselling 2026.

UCEED 2026 Counselling will have five rounds this year. The seat allotment round 1 will start on April 21, 2026.

The cut off marks for CEED Part A is out now in the form of mean and standard deviation. The mean and standard deviation for Part-A (CEED 2026) are 39.35 and 16.89.

UCEED cut-off (𝛿) for Part-A marks to shortlist candidates in the OPEN category will be 𝜇 + (𝜎⁄2) = 𝛿, where 𝜇 and 𝜎 are the average marks and standard deviation of distribution of marks obtained by ALL the candidates in Part-A of UCEED 2026.

 IIT Bombay released the cut-off in the form of mean and standard deviations. The mean and standard deviation for Part-A (UCEED 2026) are 70.86 and 25.77, respectively.

Application to BDes Programmes at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee and IIITDM Jabalpur (Participating Institutes) will begin from March 14, 2026 (Saturday), 10:00 Hrs. The application portal will be closed on April 10, 2026 (Friday), 17:30 Hrs.

Rank list will be prepared based on the total marks (Part-A marks and Part-B marks combined) in UCEED 2026.

UCEED part A will be of 200 marks.

The expected cutoff for different categories are as follows.

All shortlisted candidates will get a UCEED rank. All shortlisted candidates are considered as qualified candidates in UCEED 2026.  Rank list will be prepared based on the total marks (Part-A marks and Part-B marks combined) in UCEED 2026.

MODY University of Science and Technology, Rajasthan will allot some seats in their undergraduate programme for admission through UCEED, for the academic year 2026-2027.

IIT Bombay was expected to release the Cutoff for Part A around 5 PM. But there has been a slight delay in the release of UCEED Cutoff 2026.

• OBC-NCL / EWS: 48 - 57 marks
• SC / ST / PwD: 30 - 40 marks

IIT Bombay will soon release the Cutoff for Part A on the UCEED website. Candidates should be ready to download the UCEED Cutoff for all the participating IITs.

 A tie-break policy is used for awarding UCEED 2026 ranks to candidates.

1. A higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Part B.
2. If the criterion given in (1) does not break the tie, a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section 2 of Part-A.
3. If criteria (1) and (2) do not break the tie, a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section 1 of Part-A.
4. If there is a tie even after this, the candidates will be assigned the same rank.

Candidates must note that securing a rank in the UCEED exam does not guarantee admission to the BDes course. Aspirants who make it to the UCEED merit list need to participate in a joint seat allocation process/counseling.

You need to have your login ID and date of birth ready in case credentials are required for login. The cutoff is to be released today for UCEED and CEED 2026.

IIT Bombay will release the UCEED and CEED Cutoff today around 5 PM. Along with the cutoff, data on the total number of test takers, category reservation rules are expected to be out.

UCEED Cutoff helps to determine whether a candidate qualifies for UCEED counselling and seat allocation. Cutoffs are usually based on Part A, Overall score and category (General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS, PwD).

UCEED 2026 Counselling will have five seat allotment rounds. IIT Bombay will process the common application form and conduct the joint seat allocation process for UCEED B.Des 2026.

The BDes admission application counselling processing fee for applicants of all categories and genders is ₹ 4,000/- (Rupees Four Thousand only). This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

The expected cutoff will be high this year. Cut off marks will range from 80-100.

There were two questions in UCEED part B. It was of 1 hours and there was no negative marking.

Admission to these seats will be based on UCEED 2026 merit ranks.

The evaluation of Part-B will be done manually by at least two expert evaluators separately and independently. Following is the scheme of evaluation for each question
in Part-B.

• If the difference in marks awarded by the two evaluators is <= 10 marks, a simple average of the two evaluations will be considered.
• If the difference > 10 marks, the answer sheet of Part-B will be evaluated by a third expert examiner (and so on until the difference of marks <= 10).
•  A simple average of the closest evaluations will be selected as the final marks.
• If the difference in marks of the closest of two evaluations is >10 after several evaluations, a moderator will be invited to examine the answers.

UCEED final merit list is based on combined marks from Part A and Part B.

Only candidates who will pass the Part A cutoff will have their UCEED Part B (drawing section) answer booklets evaluated.

The UCEED 2026 results will be based on final answer key. No more objections will be accepted after it is published. The result will be out on March 06, 2026.
