Aadhaar Cards Mandatory For JEE Main 2017 Candidates

The Central Board of Secondary Education launched the official website for JEE Main 2017 on November 18, 2016. The application forms for the exam will be available from December 1 and the registrations(application submission) will conclude on January 2, 2017. However, the Board has given JEE Main aspirants an extra day to pay the application fees. Thus, candidates can pay the fee for upto January 3, 2017.

For the year 2017, CBSE tweaked the eligibility requirement a bit for filling up the JEE Main application forms. According to the official website of JEE Main 2017, aspirants planning to take the exam should hold an Aadhaar Card issued by UIDAI. The website states, " All the Indian citizen candidates should possess AADHAAR card issued by UIDAI. At the time of filling application form of JEE (Main)–2017, the candidates will have to enter their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth & gender which will be validated with the UIDAI’s data.  In case, these particulars do not match, the candidates will not be able to fill the application form for JEE (Main)–2017. Therefore, the candidates are advised to ensure that their AADHAAR card has correct details of their name, date of birth & gender as per school records. If there is some mismatch in these details, the candidates should immediately get it corrected in AADHAAR data or school records, as the case may be".

So JEE Main 2017 aspirants should ensure they have an Aadhaar Card before JEE Main 2017 application forms.

In an effort to put an end to the woes of JEE Main 2017 candidates, UIDAI would be offering exclusive assistance by setting up Aadhaar card facilitation centres all over the country.

According to a latest notification, candidates from Assam, Meghalaya, and Jammu & Kashmir would not require an Aadhaar Card to fill JEE Main 2017 application forms. However, candidates from other states would require Aadhaar Card to register for JEE Main 2017 registrations.

Is the name of the candidate should be same on both 10th class marks list and AADHAR card? on 10th marks list it is K S S Varun Krishna and in AADHAR card it is Kondiaparthi S S Varun Krishan. Does the name in AADHAR card require change?

You have given notification on November 10th 2016. The forms need to be submitted between December and January. For students who do not have aadhar card there is no time left to apply for one and appear for the exam. What needs to been done for the students on this aspect ?
