AP POLYCET 2025 Spot Admission Starts On August 5; 34070 Vacancies Announced

SBTET, AP will commence the spot admission for AP POLYCET 2025 on August 5. Both AP POLYCET-qualified and non-qualified candidates can participate in the spot round for admission. The authority has announced the course-wise vacancies at various polytechnics, category-wise.
State Board of Technical Education & Training (SBTET), Andhra Pradesh, conducted the AP POLYCET counselling 2025 for the internal sliding today, August 1. What follows next is the spot round of counselling. The authority will now commence the AP POLYCET spot round counselling on August 5. Eligible candidates can participate in the AP POLYCET counselling 2025 for the spot admissions to vacant seats. For this, the authority has published the vacancies for the spot admission. A total of 34,070 seats are available across 247 polytechnic institutes. These vacancies are available at Govt/Aided and Private polytechnics.

Those who have qualified the AP POLYCET 2025 exam will be considered for admission first, followed by those who have not qualified. Interested applicants can participate in the spot round admissions only if they fulfil the following criteria:
- Candidates admitted under the convenor quota or spot admissions in other Polytechnics cannot participate in the spot admissions.
- Students must have their original certificates to confirm their spot admission through the AP POLYCET counselling.
- The candidates who have discontinued the course and issued a TC are treated as not reported cases, and such seats can be considered for spot admissions.
Documents Required for AP POLYCET Spot Admissions
- AP POLYCET-2025 hall ticket
- AP POLYCET 2025 rank card
- Mark's memo of SSC or its equivalent
- Transfer Certificate(tc)
- caste certificate in respect of SC/ST/BC.
- 4th class to 10th class study certificates or residence certificate for the preceding 7 years of the qualifying examination, i.e. SSC or its equivalent, in respect of private candidates(in case where the candidate has no institutionalised education).
- In case of non-local candidates, a) Andhra Pradesh residence certificate of father/mother for 10 years, excluding the period of employment outside Andhra Pradesh from the tahsildar in respect of non-local candidates. or b) candidates who are children of parents who are in the employment of this state or central government, public sector corporation, local bodies, universities and other similar quasi-public institutions within the state.
- Economically weaker section (EWS) certificate (for 2025-26), if applicable.
State Board of Technical Education and Training has released the Andhra Pradesh POLYCET exam date at the official website. AP POLYCET 2025 exam was conducted on April 30. The exam authority conducted the Andhra Pradesh POLYCET 2025 in offline pen & paper mode. Candidates appearing in the exam have to carry their AP POLYCET Hall ticket along with one valid photo ID proof to the exam centre.
Yes. If the candidates are not satisfied with their allotted seat, then they will be able to cancel or surrender their Andhra Pradesh POLYCET seat allotment. The details regarding the surrender or cancellation of Andhra Pradesh POLYCET seat allotment will be announced online at appolycet.nic.in. It is to be noted that after surrendering the allotted seat, the authorities will not accept any requests for cancellation. Candidates are advised to carefully check their seat allotment status before surrendering or cancelling their admission. The counselling fee is non-refundable.
