BITS Pilani celebrated Convocation 2026 by awarding degrees to 1,477 graduates across undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. BITS Pilani graduating cohort included 1,087 undergraduate students, 271 postgraduate students and 119 PhD scholars.
The convocation's Chief Guest, Revathi Advaithi, CEO of Flex and a BITS Pilani alumna, Class of 1990, announced a USD 1 million endowment, along with her husband, Jeevan Mulgund, to establish Visalam Swamy and Sucheta Mulgund Scholarship. The permanent scholarship fund will support deserving women students from economically backward class.
During BITS Pilani convocation, six students from undergraduate and postgraduate programmes received gold, silver and bronze medals for academic excellence. The institute also presented memorial awards recognising outstanding achievements in research and academics.
Congratulating graduating class, BITS Pilani Vice Chancellor Prof. V. Ramgopal Rao encouraged students to dream big, uphold integrity and innovation and contribute to society while carrying forward institute's legacy.
