In a major relief for thousands of students, the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has announced that candidates facing issues with Aadhaar and APAAR authentication can now complete their CET 2026 registration without authentication.

CET 2026 registration rule relaxed. For those facing issues in applying due to Aadhaar and APAAR authentication, the authority has announced a new facility. Those facing technical or genuine issues can apply without authentication starting from Feb 13. Details inside.

Major Update: MHT CET 2026 Registration Without Aadhar from Feb 13

Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) cell has issued a notice on Feb 12 regarding the CET 2026 registrations. In a major relief for thousands of students, the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has announced that candidates facing issues with Aadhaar and APAAR authentication can now complete their CET 2026 registration without Aadhaar and APAAR authentication. To ensure that no eligible candidate is unable to apply due to factors beyond their control, the CET Cell has introduced a new facility. From February 13, 2026, candidates who are unable to complete Aadhaar and APAAR authentication can fill and submit their MHT CET 2026 application form without the authentication.

According to the notice, several candidates reported difficulties while completing Aadhaar and APAAR authentication during the CET 2026 registration process. Due to technical problems and other genuine issues, many students were unable to verify their details and proceed with the application form.

This announcement comes as a big relief. The CET Cell had also extended the MHT CET 2026 registration to Feb 20. Students no longer need to worry about failing to apply for the exam due to Aadhaar authentication errors. Candidates must complete the MHT CET registration 2026 before the last date.
