The IIT Kanpur incubated company is all set to come out with a series of automatic disinfectant chamber which will help in reducing the risk of people catching coronavirus when they go to a public place.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur incubated company is all set to come out with a series of the automatic disinfectant chamber which will help in reducing the risk of people catching coronavirus when they go to a public place.

A team of researchers at IIT Kanpur incubated company has launched an automatic disinfectant chamber which will spray disinfectant on an individual to sanitize them when they start visiting the public places.

"One of the first products that are going through the rigorous testing is the intelligent disinfectant chamber" IIT-Kanpur Director Abhay Karandikar said.

Dr. Nikhil Agarwal, CEO of IIT Kanpur incubator said, "CuproHealthtech is launching the disinfectant chambers. The team is working closely to ensure the best possible support”.

CuproHealthTech, which is incubated at IIT Kanpur is on the verge of launching a series of high-end, fully automatic disinfectant chambers that would radically change the way people visit public places.

Disinfectant chambers are closed cabins where disinfectant is sprayed on the individual to sanitize or disinfect him or her completely. The chamber will determine the temperature of the person before allowing him or her to enter and the AI-powered camera will record the face of the individual and moderate the entry of the individuals, Karandikar said in a release.

Once the person enters the chamber, it would completely sanitize the person from top to bottom within seconds. The whole process is completely automatic, without any human intervention. The technology used by Cupro is completely safe for the people.

Several IITs around the country are coming up with several new innovations to help country in its fight against coronavirus.
