GATE 2020 Result announcement

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi is going to announce the GATE Result online on March 16 i.e. seven days from today. Interested candidates can check the GATE result 2020 by visiting the official website of the GOAPS at https://appsgate.iitd.ac.in/.

The GATE 2020 result will be announced by the candidates on the basis of marks secured by the individuals in their respective papers/subjects. The marks secured by the candidates in GATE 2020 will remain valid for three years from the date of result announcement. This year, GATE 2020 was conducted for 25 subjects on February 1, 2, 8, and 9.

GATE 2020 result: Steps to check

Candidates are required to follow the steps given below to check their result:

Step-1: Visit the official website of GATE 2020 (http://gate.iitd.ac.in/) or click on the above link (to be available immediately after the result announcement).

Step-2: On the home page, candidates will find the “GATE 2020 Result” link.

Step-3: Click on the link, a new page will appear.

Step-4: On the new page, enter your login credentials i.e. registration number and password.

Step-5: The result will appear on the screen. Download the GATE 2020 results and take a hard copy or print out of the same for any future reference.

The GATE 2020 exam was conducted in two sessions – Forenoon and Afternoon on the aforesaid dates. The forenoon session was from 09:30 am to 12:30 pm while the afternoon session was from 2:30 pm to 05:30 pm. All the papers in the entrance test were consist of 65 questions for a total of 100 marks. The exam conducting authority released the GATE 2020 answer key and question paper on March 18.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination conducted every year by either of the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Roorkee and Indian Institute for Science, Bangalore (IISC Bangalore) for admission of candidates to Master’s programs and Doctoral programs in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and relevant branches of Science.
