IIT Guwahati will release GATE 2026 admit card anytime soon. Candidates registered for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering can download once released. However, the expected GATE admit card download date is yet to be announced. The GATE 2026 new admit card date will be updated soon at gate2026.iitg.ac.in
To download, candidates have to visit GOAPS portal and enter their enrollment ID and password. However, while downloading admit card of GATE exam, candidates may experience technical glitches, link not responding while downloading GATE MTech hall ticket, etc. In such cases, here are a few things that students must prepare in advance before downloading their admission ticket at GATE login.

Tips to follow before downloading GATE 2026 Admit Card
Candidates who are waiting to download their GATE admit card 2026 must prepare the following before the hall ticket release date -
- Check your internet connectivity
- Keep your enrollment ID and password ready
- In case you’ve misplaced, retrieve it by clicking on “forgot credentials”
- It is advised to use a compatible browser to download GATE 2026 exam hall ticket
- Ensure that you download the hall ticket from laptop or desktop, as the download link might not be visible on mobile phone.
- Your educational and personal documents (for tallying the details mentioned in admit card)
After downloading the hall ticket, check details carefully and take printouts. In case, the details are not printed correctly, then try again. Use a good printer to download.
Documents required on GATE 2026 exam day
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. Branch-wise exam dates have been announced. Candidates appearing for MTech engineering entrance exam have to carry the following documents to GATE exam centre -
- GATE exam admit card 2026
- Valid ID proof (Aadhar card/voter ID/passport, etc)
- Pen or pencil
- Transparent water bottle
