Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur is now inviting application for an online training program on Phyton for 5G wireless technology. There are two Python training modules that will be offered as part of this program that will be conducted from 21 to 30 December 2020, and 4 to 12 January 2021. Participants will given in-depth knowledge of Python programming and practical hands-on experience of working on Python-based 5G projects, says IIT Kanpur. Those candidates who are interested can both one or both the courses online. The course fee starts at Rs 10,030 for each program for students and is higher for working professionals. Participants who opt for both courses, and register on or before December 14, 2020 will be given a discount on the courses.

The course, which will be conducted by Prof Aditya K Jagannatham, Professor, Electrical Engineering department at IIT Kanpur, has been designed for undergraduate and postgraduate students, PhD scholars and faculty members as well as industry professionals and research and development personnel. Each program includes elaborate lecture sessions covering theoretical concepts and relating them to practical insights, tutorial problem solving, and intensive Python training modules, adds the institute. The course will be delivered online through Zoom platform. The topics that will be covered in the course, includes:

  • Introduction and Key Specs of 5G Technologies
  • Overview of Sub 6GHz Multiple Antenna, MIMO and MU-MIMO Technologies
  • Signal Processing for MIMO Systems
  • Optimal Power Allocation and Precoding for MIMO
  • Introduction to 5G Massive MIMO Systems
  • Optimal Power Allocation for NOMA Systems
  • Cooperative Communication, Optimal Combining
  • BER Analysis and Diversity of Cooperative Communication
  • Optimal Power Allocation with Cooperation
  • Cooperative MIMO communication, Multi-Node Cooperation
  • Introduction to Cognitive Radio Technology, and so on to name a few
