IIT Kanpur Placement: 672 Job Offers on Day 1; 253 PPOs, 9 secure International offers
Over 250 companies have shown interest in hiring IITK students this year, with some leading recruiters like Accenture, BlackRock, HSBC, SAP, Airbus.
On the first day of Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur 2025–26 campus placement as many as 672 job offers were made to students. This is 16 percent increase over last year’s Day-1 placements, with some results still pending; this count is expected to rise further.
As per placement report shared by IIT Kanpur, at the end of Day 1, 627 students secured job offers, including Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs). This year’s report also shows 20 percent rise in placements compared to previous season. IIIT –K has stated that PPOs played an important role in this achievement, with 253 offers recorded on first day, 27 percent increase over last year. On international front, nine students secured international job offers.
It further stated that top global and Indian recruiters actively engaged with students across disciplines, reaffirming IIT Kanpur’s reputation as a premier talent hub. Over 250 companies have shown interest in hiring IITK students this year. Leading recruiters include Accenture, BlackRock, HSBC, SAP, Airbus, PwC, Navi, Qualcomm, Deutsche Bank and many more.
Students’ Placement Office and institute leadership congratulated selected students, emphasized that this record-breaking Day 1 reflects students’ dedication, faculty’s mentorship, and continued trust of industry in IIT Kanpur.
As more companies are scheduled to visit and some students yet to be placed, 2025–26 placement season is likely to see more career opportunities in weeks ahead.
