JEE Advanced 2022 dates most likely to defer after postponement of JEE Main 2022

Recently NTA has decided to postpone sessions 1 and 2 of JEE Main 2022. JEE Mains 2022 session 1 exam will now be held from June 20 to 29 while the session 2 exam will be conducted from July 21 to 30.

JEE Advanced 2022 likely to be postponed

Given the new dates of JEE Main 2022, the entire schedule of the JEE Advanced 2022 exam stands in doubt. Although the dates of JEE Advanced 2022 have yet not been revised, but with the postponement of the Mains exams, the dates of JEE Advanced 2022 are most likely to be deferred too.

Currently, JEE Advanced 2022 is scheduled to be held on July 3. JEE Advanced 2022 registrations will begin on June 8 and will be open till June 14, 2022. But, with the JEE Main exams getting wrapped by July 30 now, JEE Advanced cannot be held in the month of July. The exam is expected to be pushed back to the month of August, as the exam cannot be conducted prior to the release of JEE Main 2022 result.

This year the top 2.5 lakh candidates of JEE Main will be allowed to appear in JEE Advanced, which will lead to admission in BE/BTech courses at the IITs.

The postponement of JEE Main 2022 not only means deferment of JEE Advanced but the entire academic session. Now the classes in the IITs for BE/BTech course for the current session will delay to September-October.

How are the students reacting?

JEE Main 2022 has been postponed due to the demand of the students themselves. The students demanded the postponement as there was a little gap between JEE Main and the CBSE class 12 board exams.

However, there is a section of students who have shown their concerns over the delay of the academic session this year too.
