JEE Advanced 2023 Revised Syllabus - What are the changes
The changes in the JEE Advanced syllabus are as follows:
- Statistics have been added to JEE Advanced 2023 syllabus.
- The solution of triangles has been removed.
- For physics, semiconductors and communications have been excluded, few topics of JEE Main including forced and damped oscillations, EM waves and polarization have been added instead.
The syllabus has been increased, however, it is now more in line with JEE Mains and CBSE. Candidates who have been preparing solely for JEE Advanced up until now will now have to revisit their preparation strategy and add the new syllabus to their preparation agenda.
As per a few experts, the JEE Advanced exam might have a lower difficulty level now that the syllabus has been increased. Experts also believe that the change in JEE Advanced syllabus is not a big deal for the students preparing for the entrance exam since the start, a minute tweak in their strategy will be enough to cover the additional parts.
JEE Advanced is the only entrance exam that opens the gates of IIT admissions in undergraduate courses leading to a bachelor's degree, Integrated master's degree, Bachelor-Master Dual Degree in Engineering, Science, or Architecture. Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced is a national-level exam and is the second level that the candidates need to qualify to be part of IIT alumni, the first being JEE Main.
