The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will be conducting the JEE Advanced 2026 on May 17. The exam will be held in 221 cities in India and 2 cities abroad. There will be two question papers – Paper 1 and 2 which will be held from 9 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm.

All candidates who had registered have been issued admit card to appear in the exam. Candidates can download their JEE Advanced admit card from the website jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates have to carry one photo ID and admit card to the exam centre on the day of exam.

Important Instructions for Candidates

Candidates who would be appearing in the paper are provided some last minute tips and important instructions

  • Download your admit card from the official website and take its printout. Ensure all personal information including the photo is correctly visible in the admit card.
  • Collect all items to be carried along with admit card on exam day - photo ID and pen
  • Do not study any new topic now. It could take time and would likely effect your revision of already studied topics
  • Revise all the topics you have studied on the day before exam
  • Check for important formulas, quick shortcuts and tricks for solving the questions
  • Make a plan for attempting the questions during exam  like - which section to solve first

Candidates must be prepared mentally as well besides having prepared the subjects. As the candidates will have to take the test in two shifts, they must be prepared for an exhaustive day.
