JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Starts Tomorrow; Check JoSAA Opening and Closing Ranks for Top NITs

The JEE Main 2025 session 1 exam is set to start tomorrow, January 22. There will be two sessions: the first shift will run from 9 AM to 12 noon, whereas the second shift will start at 3 PM and will go on till 6 PM. Students will use their JEE Main scores to apply to various colleges like NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs through a counselling process called JoSAA. For admission to the prestigious IITs, students will need to take another exam called JEE Advanced, which is scheduled for May 18. This exam is for the top 2.5 lakh students who pass JEE Main. The cutoff scores needed for JEE Advanced will be shared after the results of JEE Main Session 2, which will take place from April 1 to April 8, 2025.

Candidates aiming for admission to one of the top ten National Institutes of Technology (NIT) typically need to achieve a JEE Main rank in the range of 1000 to 4000, based on trends from the previous year. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct the seat allocation process for registered candidates, utilising their All India Rank (AIR) obtained in JEE Main 2025, along with the preferences indicated during the JoSAA counselling process.
