JoSAA 2023 Counselling Round 2 Live Updates
JoSAA 2023 Round 2 Live: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) released the JoSAA 2023 seat allotment result for Round 2 on July 6 on the official website at josaa.nic.in. The authority also released the Round 2 cutoff on July 7. Candidates who have registered for the JoSAA counselling 2023 Round 2 will be able to check the JoSAA 2023 seat allotment result using their JEE Main/JEE Advanced application number and password. Therefore, candidates will not be required to use any credentials to check the JoSAA 2023 cutoff for round 2. Candidates can check their JoSAA 2023 Round 2 seat allotment result from the official website. Also, a direct link is updated here.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority already released the JoSAA 2023 seat allotment result for round 1 on June 30, 2023. After releasing the JoSAA 2023 seat allocation (Round 1), the conducting authority also announced the JoSAA 2023 cutoff for round 1 counselling.
It is to be noted that candidates are allotted BTech/BArch seats based on their ranks, choices made for programmes and colleges, and also the availability of seats. Those candidates who have been allotted seats during the JoSAA 2023 seat allotment round will have Freeze, Float, or Slide options. If a candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat, he or she needs to choose the freeze option, but if not, he or she can opt for either the float or Slide option. - Download the JoSAA 2023 seat allotment letter and take a printout for future reference.

Step 1: Get Registered on the official JoSAA 2023 Website

Step-1: Get Registered: For registration, candidates have to log in to JoSAA’s official portal using their JEE Main 2023 roll number and password. Candidates who will register for JEE Advanced have to enter their credentials of JEE Advanced password to log in. After login, candidates must check all details such as gender, nationality, state code of eligibility, contact information etc. Candidates will be required to reconfirm all the details. Every applicant must keep in mind that apart from contact information, no other personal data could be modified during JoSAA 2023 registration.
Step-2: Filling of Choices: After the registration, candidates will be needed to fill in choices of branches and colleges in order of their preference. As per the candidate’s qualifications, the available choices for admission will be listed. Once the choices are entered, candidates will be able to arrange them in order of their preference by selecting “Arrange Filled Choices”, etc.

The authority also released the Round 2 cutoff on July 7. What is JoSAA?
JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) has been set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) to manage and regulate joint seat allocation for admissions to over 100 institutes including IITs, NITs, IIITs, and Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). Admissions to all these institutes will be done through a single platform. The idea behind introducing a single counselling platform was to reduce thousands of seats going vacant in engineering colleges across the country. The Joint seat allocation process was introduced to make the whole process of admissions smoother, effective, efficient, transparent and a lot faster.

JoSAA 2023 Counselling 2023 Live: Know about Physical Verification for IITs
- The physical verification process starts from the first day of JoSAA 2023 choice filling and continues through the counseling rounds of JoSAA 2023.
- Each JEE (Advanced) 2023 qualified PwD candidate is required to complete this process latest by the end of the counseling round in which they are allocated a seat (if any), failing which the allocated seat shall be canceled.
- Before candidates come for physical verification they are required to register on the JoSAA 2023 portal.
- Candidates are required to choose any one IIT (for physical verification), date, as well as time (FN/AN) using the link available on the JoSAA 2023 portal before coming for physical verification.

JoSAA 2023 Counselling Live: Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to participate in JoSAA 2023 counselling process, it is mandatory for students to appear and qualify either JEE Main or JEE Advanced 2023. Along with this, there are other eligibility criteria that candidates need to fulfil to be eligible for the process.
Every candidate who satisfies one or more of the following eligibility criteria mentioned below can participate in JoSAA counselling:

satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination”

satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination”
Criterion III
Got a rank in JEE Main 2023 Paper-1 for BE/BTech Programs at NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and Other-GFTIs.
AND
Must have passed Class XII (or equivalent) examination* with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subjects. Further, the candidates should have passed each of the subjects individually.
Criterion IV
Got a rank in JEE Main 2023 Paper-2 for BArch/BPlanning programs at NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and Other-GFTIs.
AND
Mathematics as one of the subjects in Class XII (or equivalent) examination* AND
should have passed each of the subjects individually.
