The Mathematics segment of KCET 2026 concluded today, officially ending the KCET 2026 exam schedule for engineering aspirants. As per the overall analysis of the KCET exam, the questions were not deemed difficult, but were lengthy.Β
The KCET 2026 exam process which started with the KCET application form on February 16, 2026 is now officially over as all papers, Physics, Chemistry and Maths are now successfully conducted. The two-day state-level entrance exam saw over 3.15 lakh registered candidates appearing in the exam for various courses under engineering and pharmacy domain.
KCET 2026 Analysis for PCM Subjects
As per the student feedback, KCET Mathematics was tedious, time-intensive, students had to face a challenge solving all the 60-questions within 80 minutes, despite the absence of negative marking. From maths Calculus held high weightage and Algebra remained manageable. Other exam sessions were mixed, with Physics conceptual and tricky, Chemistry NCERT-based with a focus on Class 11.
What's Next after the KCET exam is over?
With the KCET exam now over, the focus shifts to answer keys. Several coaching institutes have already released memory-based unofficial keys for Physics paper, Chemistry, and Mathematics and the official answer keys are expected to be released in the last week of April 2026. Students will have a 2-3 day window to raise objections against the provisional answer keys for free, provided they have supporting documents.Β
Post reviewing candidates' responses, the authorities will release the final answer keys, followed by the result declaration and release of the rank list tentatively in the first week of May 2026.
