Students also shared that Probability section was the major source of frustration, other topics were manageable in terms of logic, probability was tedious and time-consuming as it slowed down and prevented them from reaching their target scores.

Organic Chemistry took the centre stage, followed closely by Physical Chemistry. While the numerical problems were considered "solvable," they were extremely time-consuming. Most of the paper was theory-heavy just like Physics, but worded in a complex, confusing manner.

Students reported high number of "Assertion-Reasoning" and "Statement 1 & 2" type questions requiring deep conceptual clarity and significantly more time to process than direct MCQs. The paper also had matching-type questions. Aspirants noted that these are nearly impossible to solve in "1-minute-per-question" timeframe expected for KCET.

As student reactions are pourting in, a clearer picture of Chemistry paper is emerging. It appears 2026 paper broke away from traditional KCET pattern, leaning heavily toward JEE Main. As student found it tough.

Some students also shared that the invigilators collected their OMR sheets up to 6 minutes early causing significant distress and arguments, especially when it happened in both the morning and afternoon sessions.
