MHT CET 2026 Registration: 6.27 Lakh Applicants So Far; Last Date Feb 12
MHT CET 2026 registration is underway. The MHT CET registration numbers until Feb 4, 2026, are updated here. Continue reading to find out how many aspirants are applying for the MHT CET 2026 exam this year.
The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, is conducting the MHT CET registration 2026 for both sessions 1 and 2. As of February 4, 2026, a total of 6,27,650 students have completed the registration process and are set to appear for the MHT CET exam in both sessions. Of these, 4,33,990 students have registered for both sessions of the PCM subject group, and 1,93,660 have registered for PCB only.
Keeping the last year's trends in mind, it is expected that 7 lakh aspirants might register for MHT CET and about 6-6.5 lakh may appear for the exam in both sessions. If we were to look at the session-wise registration data, about 3,90,718 students have applied for the PCM and PCB exam for session 1, and for session 2, this number is 2,36,932. The last date to fill the form is February 12, 2026. Registered candidates can complete the fee payment by February 13, 2026. Students can fill the MHT CET application form on the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org. Applicants have to choose their subject group and the number of attempts for the exam. The MHT CET application fee has been raised this year by INR 300 for the general category and INR 200 for the reserved category candidates when applying for any one group (PCM or PCB). This year, the general category candidates have to pay INR 1300 to apply for any one group out of PCM and PCB. The same for reserved category candidates is 1000. To apply for both groups, the general category candidates have to pay INR 2600, and the reserved category candidates have to pay INR 2000.
