MHT CET 2026 Registration Requires DigiLocker Verification: Here's How to Create & Link Account

The Maharashtra state CET cell has started the MHT CET 2026 registration process. The registration window is open at cetcell.mahacet.org. Candidates can complete the registration process before the MHT CET form filling starts for the PCM and PCB groups anytime soon. Check details below.

The online MHT CET form filling date will be announced soon by the CET cell. Currently, the registration window is open, and the forms are active for a few courses, like 5 year LLB, 3 year LLB, BEd-MEd, MCA, MHMCT, etc.

The application process for MHT CET 2026 will open soon for admission to these courses: BTech, BPharm, BPlan, Integrated BTech-MTech and PharmD.

This year, it has been made mandatory for all candidates to have a Digilocker account to register for MHT CET. Additionally, the Digilocker of the candidates should have their APAAR ID and Aadhaar card in it. Without this, candidates will not be able to fill details in the MHT CET registration form.

Steps to Create a DigiLocker Account for MHT CET 2026

To create the DigiLocker account, candidates have to follow the process below:

1. Visit the official DigiLocker website or mobile application
2. Select the Sign Up option
3. Enter a mobile number linked with Aadhaar
4. Verify the mobile number using OTP
5. Enter personal details as per Aadhaar records
6. Set a six-digit security PIN
7. Submit the registration form
8. Enter the Aadhaar number
9. Complete Aadhaar verification using OTP or biometric authentication
10. Create a username to activate the DigiLocker account

Linking DigiLocker with MHT CET Registration Process

To link DigiLocker with the MHT CET registration process, candidates have to follow the steps below:

1. Register with name, email ID and create a password at cetcell.mahacet.org.
2. Next, verify the email ID with the link sent to your inbox.
3. Once verification is done, candidates are redirected to the MHT CET registration screen.
4. Click on "Proceed to DigiLocker". 
5. Thereafter, add your Aadhaar number and verify OTP sent.
6. Then verify with 6-digit pin.
7. After this, the DigiLocker will open.
8. If the Digilocker has your APAAR ID and Aadhaar Card, select them and click on "verify". If APAAR ID and Aadhaar Card are not available in the Digiclocker, first add them and then proceed with verification.
9. This connects DigilLocker to the MHT CET registration portal.

Candidates are advised to get their APAAR ID and Aadhaar card connected to DigiLocker before the application process starts. This will help in the effortless application process.
