The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra has decided September 14, 2026, as the final date for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate professional courses under technical education for the current academic year. The decision has been taken in accordance with the Supreme Court order dated August 12, 2026.

MHT CET 2026: Final Admission Deadline Revised

The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra has decided September 14, 2026, as the final date for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate professional courses under technical education for the current academic year. The decision has been taken in accordance with the Supreme Court order dated August 12, 2026, and the revised academic schedule issued by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) on August 13, 2026.

The September 14 deadline will apply to all types of admissions, including admissions through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) as well as institutional-level rounds.

MHT CET 2026 Admissions: What candidates need to know

Candidates who are eligible and are currently participating in the institutional vacancy rounds must complete all admission-related formalities before September 14. The CET Cell has specifically directed candidates to ensure that their admission process, fee payment and system reporting on the admission portal are completed within the revised deadline.

The revised deadline applies to both routes, CAP counselling and institute-level admission. Students, parents and participating institutes must take note of the revised schedule and ensure that all admission formalities are completed by September 14.

The institute-level admission process is being conducted after the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) rounds. Candidates must check the respective institute websites for updates on merit lists, seat availability, admission schedules and document verification. Admission at the institute level will be subject to the eligibility criteria, seat availability and rules prescribed by the authorities.
