MHT-CET-2026-Twice-A-Year

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell will conduct the MHT CET 2026 exam twice a year. For admissions to academic session 2026-27, both attempts will be held between March to May 2026. The Higher and Technical Education Department has setup a plan for this. Candidates can appear in both or one session as per their choice. However, for the academic session 2027-28, the two attempts will be spread over a long period, like JEE Mains is conducted. CET Cell will also conduct the exam twice for MBA/MMS programs as well along with engineering courses. However, the official notification is still awaited for this.

The MHT CET alone witnesses around 6 lakh candidates appear in the exam every year for admission to engineering and pharmacy courses. In MBA/MMS programs, the number is around 1 lakh. If implemented, aspirants of both these exams will get a huge relief with two attempts. It will give them a chance to perform better in second attempt in case the performance in first attempt is not satisfactory.

The notification for MHT CET and MAH MBA CET is expected to be released in December. The application forms will be released alongside the notification.

The application form for JEE Mains 2026 has been released by the NTA. The last date to apply is November 27.
