NTA opens the JEE Mains registration for January and April attempts separately. Candidates can choose to apply for both attempts or just one attempt.

JEE Mains 2027 session 1 registration date will be notified by NTA via the JEE Main notification 2027.

NTA publishes the official eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2027 via the information brochure. Key conditions include:

Candidates must have passed Class 12 in 2025 or 2026, or be appearing in 2027. Candidates can appear for three consecutive years from their year of passing Class 12, allowing up to 6 total JEE Main attempts.
No upper age limit for JEE Main 2027 registration.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) amkes the facility to use the DigiLocker app during JEE Main registration 2027. Although it is not mandatory for all candidates, those who can use DigiLocker can make use of the facility to upload certificates during the JEE Main application process. It is to be understood that 75 percent marks is required for admission to institutes which include NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and IITs. Many institutes offer admission at 60% and even less, along with JEE Main. Candidates must clearly understand that the requirement of 75 percent marks in class 12 is only for taking admission in the institutes.
