The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has decared the MHT CET 2026 result for the 1st attempt PCM and PCB groups. Candidates who appeared for both attempt are now wondering when the results will be announced for the second attempt. This is because the authorities will conduct the best of two attempts for admission and CAP rounds.

The MHT CET 2026 second attempt result date has not been announced officially. However, a tentative timeline can be prepared based on the 1st attempt events. Candidates should expect a 12-15 day gap between the announcement of the results for both attempts.

MHT CET 2026 Final Answer Key Out
The authorities have already published the MHT CET final answer key for the second attempt for both PCM and PCB groups. CET Cell will prepare the results based on the final answer key.

With 97.5 percentile in MHT-CET, you have a strong chance to get admission in reputed colleges like PICT Pune, VIT Pune, SPIT Mumbai, or Thakur College of Engineering for branches such as IT, ECE, or Electrical. COEP and VJTI may be difficult for CSE. Government colleges like WCE Sangli, SGGS Nanded, and GCOE Amravati are also good options. You can get preferred branches in private colleges and core branches in government ones. Your chances further improve if you belong to a reserved category or have home university advantage within Maharashtra.
For the General HS category, the cutoff ranged from 4.33 to 20.54 percentile for M.Tech course specialisations. Therefore, students need to attain at least 4.33 percentile for admissions at COEP Pune. MHT CET M.Tech percentiles are required for admission to M.Tech courses at COEP, Pune.
Students should note that the above mentioned percentile is only valid for the General HS category in the last round. Other rounds and categories will have different minimum qualifying percentiles. To know more, students can click here.
Candidates who have not applied or still have not appeared in MHT CET can participate in the counselling based on their JEE Main score. Those who do not have MHT CET or JEE Main score can also participate in counselling based on class 12 marks.
MHT CET Result 2026 2nd Attempt
The MHT CET 2nd attempt result will be released soon. Once declared candidates will be able to download their scorecards for 2nd attempt at cetcell.mahacet.org. Students require their email ID and password to check the results. The results will be available as a scorecard and candidates can check their percentile scores on it, both aggregate and subject-wise. Candidates must download the MHT CET scorecard immediately after logging in with their credentials.
