NEP Anniversary Celebrated at IIT Bombay

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam 2025 in New Delhi to mark five years of NEP 2020. This event brought together some stakeholders to review progress under policy and outline future goals. On this occasion he also virtually launched two landmark projects at IIT Bombay Project Evergreen and new Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship. Speaking on occasion he extended heartfelt wishes on successful completion of five years of National Education Policy 2020. 

Project Evergreen

Project Evergreen stands out as one of IIT Bombay most impactful alumni led initiatives uniting over 30 batches to create three world-class hostels. Designed to enhance student life this landmark project reflects power of alumni collaboration and commitment to enriching campus experience.

Empowering Women in STEM

As part of IIT Bombay growing focus on inclusive campus infrastructure Coal India Limited has played important role in strengthening housing for women students. Coal India Limited enabled creation of Hostel 21 dedicated women hostel that now accommodates 370 girl students.

New DSSE Building

Newly inaugurated Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship building at IIT Bombay spans 1,15,000 sq. ft and offers collaborative workspaces and incubation facilities to foster student innovation. Supported by alumnus Bharat Desai and Neerja Sethi, centre aligns with NEP 2020 vision of nurturing job creators.
