As per NTA official, currently there is no change in JEE Main 4th attempt date and students have received July 27 as their 3rd attempt date purely due to technical reason.

An official notice from NTA dated July 13 on release of JEE Main 3rd attempt admit card has left students perplexed regarding session 3 and 4 dates. As per the notice, JEE Main 3rd attempt exam will be held on July 20, 22, 25 and 27. The new dates for JEE Main 2021 session 3 exam are in contradiction to what erstwhile Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal had announced. The former Education Minister had said that JEE Main 2021 session 3 exam will be held from July 20 to 25 while the 4th attempt will be conducted from July 27 to August 2.

As the last day of JEE Main 3rd attempt date is clashing with the first day of 4th attempt date, students are in confusion whether the dates for session 4 has been changed. There is no official notice from NTA on revision of JEE Main 4th attempt date. However, a senior NTA official has informed a media house that several students of JEE Main session 3 exam have received July 27 as their exam date, which is purely due to technical reason.

There is no change in JEE Main 4th attempt date as of now and 3rd attempt date has been extended till July 27 because of purely technical reasons. The NTA wants to accommodate students who had registered earlier for JEE Main 2021 session 3 and students who registered fresh during July 6 to 8. The extension in date is because of managing the backlog of students, told NTA official.

The statement from NTA official has created further confusion among students who have received July 27 as their exam date and want clarity whether the exam will be held on July 27 or will there be a change in 4th attempt schedule.

The revised dates for JEE Main session 3 have been taken by students as a great relief as several students have been demanding to increase the gap between 3rd and 4th attempt to at least 15 days. As per the earlier announced dates, there was only a one day gap between JEE Main 2021 3rd attempt and 4th attempt date.

Currently JEE Main application form 2021 is ongoing for 4th attempt. JEE Mains 2021 application form last date has been extended from July 12 to 15 to allow more students participate in the exam. Also, NTA has released JEE Main admit card 2021 for April exam on July 14.
