The National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified that its public notice issued on September 29, 2025, has no connection with the city or centre allotment process for JEE Main or any other NTA examination.

The agency said that JEE (Main) 2026 will be held in two sessions in January and April 2026. In previous years, some students faced issues while filling the online form due to mismatches in details mentioned in their Aadhaar, Class 10 certificate, or other documents.

To help students avoid such errors, NTA had advised them in the September 29 notice to update and verify key identity records such as Aadhaar, UDID cards, and category certificates well before the application process begins. It clarified that this advisory “is not related to city or centre allotment in any manner.”
