SPPU to hold exam for final year UG students on entire syllabus

Savitribai Phule Pune University will conduct exams on a complete syllabus for final year undergraduate students. The examination is scheduled to start from July 16, 2020 in pen and paper mode.

Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has said that it will conduct the final year exam for students studying non-professional courses in undergraduate colleges on the basis of the complete syllabus. That means students will have to study the entire syllabus for the examination this year.

However, those students who are in the final year and are doing professional courses in both undergraduate and postgraduate courses will have to study only 60 percent of their syllabus. Each paper of professional and non-professional course examination would comprise 50 marks and the students will be given 1.5 hours of time to finish their exam. 

Apart from undergraduate courses, students who would appear to clear backlog would also have to study the entire syllabus. For them also each paper would comprise 50 marks and the time duration would be 1.5 hours.

The backlog examination would be conducted from July 1 to July 15 and the remaining exams would be conducted from July 16 to July 31, 2020. While speaking to a media house, pro-vice-chancellor, N S Umrani, SPPU said that "for all final year postgraduate students the syllabus would be considered until March 14 for the exams. The same would be applicable for final year students of undergraduate and postgraduate professional courses."

Moreover, SPPU will be conducting the July examination in pen and paper mode. For those students who are not in the city and have left for their hometown due to nationwide coronavirus lockdown or any other reason,  the university has decided that such students will appear for the exams within 120 days from the scheduled exams.
