TNEA 2022: 18,763 students register after TN 12th Results 2022

Nearly, 18, 763 students registered for TNEA soon after the declaration of Tamil Nadu Class XII results on Monday, June 20, 2022.

TNEA 2022: Tamil Nadu engineering aspirants must note that a total of 18,763 students registered and 790 students upload documents on first day. A total of 2,32,872 seats will be available for counselling through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions single window system. This year, there are 9,196 more seats are available as compared to last year (2,23,676), according to the Hindu.

While colleges have added 13,331 seats to newly introduced courses, 1,316 seats were lost with the scrapping of some courses. Meanwhile, this year, eight colleges will not participate in counselling and two colleges have been closed.

Nearly, 18, 763 students registered for TNEA soon after the declaration of Tamil Nadu Class XII results on Monday, June 20, 2022. TNEA commenced the admission process and by 6 pm, 790 aspirants had uploaded certificates while 4,199 candidates had paid the initial fee for the counselling process. A total of 18,763 persons had registered, TNEA officials said.

New courses introduced by 221 colleges

221 colleges have introduced new courses. The list of nely introduced courses include BTech Artificial Intelligence and Data Science; Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security); BE Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning); BTech Computer Science and Business Systems; BTech Computer Science and Engineering (Internet of Things); BTech Agricultural Engineering; BE Biomedical Engineering; and BTech Information Technology.

So far this year, 201 colleges have surrendered seats in traditional BE programmes such as Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering this year.
