The TNEA 2026 random number is being released today, June 11. The candidates can check their allotted random number under the respective login at tneaonline.org. The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Chennai, issues the TNEA random number 2026 to candidates who complete the TNEA registration process, fill out the online form, and upload their certificates by the deadline. The TNEA 2026 random number will be available for all the registered candidates on the candidate portal under the status tab. 

How to Check TNEA Random Number 2026?

Below are the steps to check the TNEA random number 2026:

  1. Visit the official website of TNEA at tneaonline.org.
  2. On the home page, click on the login button.
  3. On the next page, enter the registered email ID and password.
  4. Under the login, candidates can access the status tab.
  5. Under the status tab, candidates can find their TNEA random number.
  6. Note it down for any reference in the future.

Use of TNEA Random Number 2026

TNEA random number will be used in tie-breaking, in case all other tie-breaking processes fail.

  • In case a tie exists between two or more candidates, the percentage of marks in the subject of Mathematics will be considered to break the tie.
  • If the above fails, then the percentage of marks in the subject of Physics will be used.
  • If the above two conditions do not neutralise the tie, then the percentage of marks in the optional subject will be used.
  • If none of the conditions above break the tie, then the percentage of total marks in the class 12th examination will be considered.
  • If the tie still exists, then the date of birth of the candidates will be considered. That is, the elder candidate will be given preference.
  • Lastly, if the tie is not broken by any of the above conditions, then the TNEA random number assigned will be used. The candidate with the higher value of the random number will be given preference.
