UPTAC 2026 BTech Choice Filling Dates Postponed; Revised Schedule Awaited
The Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has postponed the UPTAC 2026 BTech choice filling process. Candidates who have completed the UPTAC 2026 counselling registration will now have to wait for the revised schedule, which is expected to be announced shortly on the official counselling portal.
Earlier, the choice filling process for BTech admissions was scheduled to begin on July 4, as per the counselling timeline released by the authorities. However, the schedule has now been deferred. AKTU has not yet announced the reason for the postponement, and no fresh dates have been confirmed so far.
Once the revised schedule is released, eligible candidates will be able to log in using their application credentials and fill in their preferred colleges and branches. Candidates are advised to carefully arrange their choices in the order of preference, as seat allotment will be conducted based on the choices filled, JEE Main 2026 rank, category, and seat availability.
Candidates should note that postponement of the choice filling dates does not affect their eligibility for counselling. They will be able to participate once the revised schedule is announced.
What should candidates do now?
- Wait for the revised UPTAC 2026 BTech choice filling schedule.
- Keep checking the official counselling website (uptac.samarth.edu.in) for updates.
- Prepare a list of preferred colleges and BTech branches before choice filling begins.
- Review previous years' opening and closing ranks to make informed choices.
- Ensure all required documents are ready for the subsequent counselling rounds.
Candidates are advised to keep all required documents ready in advance and regularly monitor the official UPTAC website for the latest announcements regarding the revised choice filling dates. Any further changes to the counselling schedule, including seat allotment dates, will also be notified through the official portal.
The UPTAC BTech counselling is conducted for admission to engineering programmes offered by government, government-aided, and private engineering colleges affiliated with AKTU and other participating institutes across Uttar Pradesh. The counselling process includes online choice filling, choice locking, seat allotment, document verification, and fee payment.
