UPTAC 2026 Choice Filling Closes Tomorrow; Complete Preference Locking Before Deadline
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) will close the UPTAC 2026 Round 1 choice filling and modification process tomorrow, July 16. Candidates participating in the ongoing counselling process must complete the choice filling and preference locking before the deadline to be considered for seat allotment.

The round 1 UPTAC 2026 choice filling facility enables candidates to add new colleges and branches in order of preference. Since seat allotment depends on merit, category, seat availability and the order of choices submitted, candidates are advised to finalise their preferences carefully.
Once the choice filling window closes, no further changes will be allowed for the current counselling round. Candidates should therefore avoid waiting until the final hours to complete the process.
UPTAC 2026 choice filling: Steps to lock college preferences
Candidates can follow these steps to complete the process:
- Visit the official UPTAC counselling website.
- Log in using the registered number / registered email and password.
- Add, remove or rearrange colleges and branches as required.
- Review the order of preferences carefully before submission.
- Lock the final choices and save the confirmation page for future reference.
The UPTAC 2026 Round 1 seat allotment result will be declared on July 18 on the official website. Candidates allotted seats will have to complete willingness submission and fee payment by July 20.
UPTAC conducts counselling for admissions to BTech, BArch, BPharm, MBA, MCA and several other professional programmes offered by AKTU-affiliated institutions and participating colleges in Uttar Pradesh.
