UPTAC 2026 Round 1 Seat Allotment Result Out; Pay Seat Acceptance Fee by July 20

The Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has released the UPTAC 2026 Round 1 seat allotment result on the official counselling portal, uptac.samarth.edu.in. Candidates who participated in the Round 1 counselling process can now log in using their application number and password to check their allotted institute and branch.

The UPTAC 2026 round 1 allotment has been prepared based on JEE Main 2026 ranks, candidates' preferences filled during choice locking, seat availability and reservation policy. Candidates allotted a seat in the first round must complete the seat acceptance process. As per the counselling schedule, the last date to pay the seat acceptance fee and submit the Freeze/Float willingness is July 20. Failure to complete these steps before the deadline will result in the cancellation of the allotted seat.

What to Do After UPTAC Round 1 Seat Allotment?

Candidates should first download the allotment letter and verify the allotted institute, branch and category details. After checking the allotment status, they must pay the seat acceptance fee online through the counselling portal. General and OBC candidates are required to pay Rs 20,000, while the seat acceptance fee for SC/ST candidates is Rs 12,000.

After fee payment, candidates need to choose one of the available options:

• Freeze: Accept the allotted seat and opt out of further counselling rounds.
• Float: Accept the allotted seat while remaining eligible for seat upgradation in subsequent rounds.

Candidates who opt for Float can participate in the next counselling round without losing their currently allotted seat.

Applicants should also keep their original documents ready for the admission process. These include the JEE Main 2026 scorecard, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates, category certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate, Aadhaar card, passport-size photographs and other documents specified by AKTU.

Candidates are advised to save copies of the allotment letter and fee payment receipt for future reference. AKTU will conduct the next round of counselling after the completion of the Round 1 admission process. Those seeking a better institute or branch should carefully follow the upcoming counselling schedule and complete all formalities within the stipulated deadlines.
