UPTAC 2026 Round 2 Choice Filling Closes Today at uptac.samarth.edu.in; Seat Allotment on July 24
The Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) will close the UPTAC 2026 Round 2 choice filling and modification window today, July 22. Candidates participating in the second round of the Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) must complete the choice filling and lock their preferences before the deadline through the official website, uptac.samarth.edu.in.
The UPTAC Round 2 choice filling facility is available for candidates who opted for the Float option after Round 1 as well as those eligible to participate in the current counselling round. Candidates can add, delete, rearrange, or modify their previously submitted college and course preferences before the choice filling window closes.
After the choice filling process ends, AKTU will process the allotment based on candidates' JEE Main merit, category, reservation criteria, seat availability, and the preferences submitted during counselling. The UPTAC 2026 Round 2 seat allotment result is scheduled to be released on July 24.
Candidates allotted a new seat in Round 2 will have to pay the seat confirmation fee within the prescribed deadline and submit their willingness by choosing either Freeze or Float. Those satisfied with their allotted seat can select Freeze to confirm admission, while candidates seeking upgradation in subsequent rounds can choose Float.

- Log in using the application number and password.
- Open the Round 2 choice filling link.
- Add, modify, or reorder college and branch preferences.
- Lock the final choices and download the confirmation page for future reference.
Candidates are advised not to wait until the last minute, as in the last minutes the portal may face a traffic surge and login issues. Once the choice filling deadline ends, no further modifications will be permitted for round 2 counselling.

The total course fee for the BTech programme at AKTU ranges between INR 35,600 and INR 12.5 lakh. AKTU BTech admissions is offered based on JEE Main scores. However, UPSEE scores will be considered to fill the vacant seats after JEE Main Counselling is over. The counselling process of shortlisted candidates is managed and regulated by AKTU based on which the candidates are allotted seats. The seat allotment is based on the affiliated college cutoff and candidate's preference for courses and colleges. AKTU offers a four-year B.Tech programme in 40+ specialisations.
