UPTAC BTech Counselling 2026 Revised Schedule OUT; Choice Filling Starts on July 13

The Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has released the revised schedule for the Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) 2026 for BTech admissions.

As per the updated counselling calendar, the Round 1 choice filling and locking process will commence on July 13, 2026. Candidates who have completed the registration and document verification process will be eligible to participate in the choice filling round.

The revised schedule comes after the university postponed the earlier counselling timelines. AKTU has now issued a fresh counselling calendar detailing the dates for choice filling, seat allotment, fee payment, willingness submission and subsequent counselling rounds.

During the choice filling process, candidates must log in to the UPTAC counselling portal using their application credentials and arrange their preferred colleges and BTech programmes in the desired order. Candidates are advised to fill in as many choices as possible to improve their chances of securing a seat in the allotment process.

After the choice filling window closes on July 16, AKTU will release the Round 1 seat allotment result as per the revised counselling schedule on July 18. Candidates allotted seats will have to confirm their admission by paying the prescribed seat acceptance fee and submitting their willingness (Freeze or Float) between July 18 and 20. Those opting for the Float option will remain eligible for seat upgradation in the subsequent rounds, while candidates selecting Freeze will retain their allotted seat.

Steps to fill choices in UPTAC BTech counselling are as follows:

• Visit the official UPTAC counselling portal.
• Log in using your Registration Number OR Registered Email and password.
• Click on the "Choice Filling" link.
• Select your preferred institutes and courses in order of preference.
• Save and lock the choices before the last date.
• Download and keep a copy of the locked choices for future reference.

As per the revised schedule, the UPTAC Btech seat allotment will be done in four main rounds, one internal sliding round and two special rounds.
