VITEEE 2026 Paper Analysis: Highlights
VIT paper 2026 was held from April 28 to May 3 in two shifts. However, for some states, the exam was held in one shift. Here are some key highlights regarding the exam based on students feedback -
-
Many students have stated that out of 125 questions, there were able to attempt a maximum of 75 to 80 questions with accuracy, which makes around 300 to 320 marks to avoid -1 mark penalty.
-
Mathematics, followed by Physics were super lengthy and calculative. Students felt like VITEEE questions mimicked JEE Mains difficulty level.
-
Some shifts of CBT had questions from the deleted syllabus. However, for students who have secured 99 percentile in JEE Main paper, found questions to be easy to moderate.
VITEEE 2026 Expected Cutoff
Based on students feedback on paper difficulty, there can be a slight drop in cutoff. Students obtaining marks 400+ marks in VIT exam 2026 can expect a rank between 3000. However, even obtaining 320 to 350 marks in VITEEE can be considered safe for admission at VIT Chennai campus. The cutoff, however, depends on several factors, depending on paper difficulty level, number of students attempted, etc. The actual data will be updated by the authorities at the time of counselling, which will be held in four phases, soon after the declaration of result.
