WBJEE 2019 : New exam date announced

WBJEE 2019 exam is scheduled to be held on May 26 (Sunday) in offline mode. Earlier, the exam was to be held on May 19 but the WB Board reconsidered the exam date taking into account that JEE Advanced 2019 is scheduled to be held on the same day. The confusion regarding WBJEE exam date caused trouble to the exam aspirants.

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is a state level examination conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). The joint entrance exam is a gateway for candidates seeking admission into undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered in Engineering & Technology, Architecture and Pharmacy at Universities, Government Colleges and Self Financing Engineering & Technological Institutes in the State of West Bengal. 

Candidates who have passed their class 12th or equivalent exam are offered the opportunity to seek admission to various UG and PG level courses in West Bengal by submitting WBJEE application form and completing the admission process through e-counselling.

WBJEE 2019 registration process has now concluded. The application forms for WBJEE 2019 were available from December 26, 2018 on the official website of WBJEEB. The last date for candidates to fill the online application form was January 22, 2019.

Soon after the WBJEE registration process ended, WB Board opened the WBJEE application form correction window on the official website. The application correction facility for WBJEE 2019 was available from January 24 to January 25. Candidates who made mistake(s) while filling the WBJEE application form could avail the application correction facility and change/correct the errors.

Only those candidates who successfully registered online and made the payment of WBJEE application fee are issued the WBJEE admit card 2019. The admit card for WBJEE is to be made available for download on the official website from April 16. Candidates have to submit their WBJEE application number and date of birth in order to download their admit card. Only those candidates who are issued the admit card can appear for the exam. WBJEE admit card is an assurance that a candidate complies with all the eligibility norms as prescribed by the board.

WBJEE results are typically released in the month of May/June every year. However, as per the latest exam schedules released by the WB board, the exam results are likely to be released on July 2, 2019 (Tentative). In 2018, the exam results were declared in May, while the WBJEE 2017 results were declared in June.
