WBJEE exam pattern outlines the details regarding how the entrance examination will be conducted by the authorities. WBJEE will be held as a pen-and-paper-based test. The total duration of the examination is 4 hours - 2 hours for Paper 1 (Mathematics) and 2 hours for Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry). The candidates will have to answer a total of 155 multiple-choice questions. In the paper, the questions are divided into three categories. Category I and II questions will have only one correct option while Category III questions will have one or more correct options. For every wrong answer in Category I and II, 1/4 mark will be deducted. There is no negative marking for Category III questions.
According to the WBJEE exam pattern, the duration of the entrance examination is 4 hours. For each paper i.e., Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry), 2 hours have been allotted, and the candidates will have to complete both the sections within the allotted duration. Multiple-choice questions of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics have to be answered by the candidates within 4 hours. WBJEE will be held as an offline test i.e., a paper-and-pen-based test. During the 4 hour examination, the candidates will have to attempt the offline test and answer multiple-choice questions in the OMR sheets.
