Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow opens admissions for 24 skill-based and hospitality-related programs, including certificate and diploma courses. Merit-based, no CUET required.

Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) has unveiled admissions for 24 new skill‑based courses, including hospitality‑oriented programs, designed to equip students with job-ready vocational skills in line with NEP 2020.

These programs span undergraduate degrees, postgraduate diplomas, and short‑term certificate courses. They include hospitality‑related certificates and diplomas such as bakery & confectionery, food service management, and event services—targeting students who missed admission deadlines elsewhere this year, and not requiring CUET scores (admission purely via merit).

These offerings are professionally oriented and industry-aligned, catering to students seeking hands-on training and employability. Validating this approach, Prof. Amit Kumar Singh, chair of the admission committee, confirmed students can still apply under this special admissions window despite missing deadlines for regular courses.

With roughly 6,000 applicants registering already (across various streams)—PU, social media, event, hospitality, craftsmanship—the programs enable students from all backgrounds to upskill quickly and enter the workforce.

Admission details: Applicants who missed CUET-based undergraduate or PG admissions elsewhere can register online on BBAU’s admissions portal. These skill-based programs offer an alternative route to professional training with shorter durations and practical coursework.
