ITM IHM Introduces Specialized Programs in Culinary and Tourism

Interns took postings at prestigious global locations such as France, New Zealand and the USA and were recruited to world-renowned hospitality brands and properties.
ITM Institute of Hotel Management has seen an exceptional international internship in its 2023–26 batch with students interning in 7 countries. Mauritius was the leading destination, with more than 70% of students interning in well-known properties like the JW Marriott, The Oberoi Beach Resort, Le Meridien, and Anantara Iko with stipends ranging from ₹1.4–1.6 lakhs/month.
Interns took postings at prestigious global locations such as France, New Zealand and the USA and were recruited to world-renowned hospitality brands and properties. Interns received competitive stipends in those regions, with some averaging over ₹2 lakhs per month, which certainly speaks to the need for skilled professionals in a thriving hospitality and culinary market. Intern experiences allowed students to see and work in a variety of international hospitality standards, operational environments and cultural contexts. The experience of regions that employ emerging markets opportunities like Dubai, Bahrain and Kuwait in luxury resorts, business hotels and boutique properties provides students with one of the most chosen paths to diverse positions, in order to develop various skill-sets in dynamic and rapidly offshore hospitality markets.
In line with its commitment to excellence, ITM IHM has introduced specialized certification programs to further enhance students' expertise. The Certificate Programme in Culinary, that spans for 15 weeks, trains students to become chefs proficient in authentic Indian, regional specialties, and global cuisines. For those interested in the travel and tourism sector, the Foundation Program in Travel & Tourism offers a direct pathway to IATA certification in just six months, covering airline ticketing, reservations, fare calculations, and global distribution systems.
“The success of our 2023–26 batch in securing prestigious global internships is a testament to ITM’s commitment to providing students with world-class opportunities. We are proud to see our students thriving in top-tier properties worldwide, gaining invaluable exposure and setting the stage for long-term success in the hospitality industry,” said Purva Tawade, Director, ITM Institute of Hotel Management.
