Delhi University Admissions 2021: DU admission portal receives over 3.5 lakh applications for DU UG admissions 2021

Delhi University is likely to release the first cut off by October 1, 2021 and begin the admissions from October 4, 2021.

DU Admissions 2021: Delhi University's Undergraduate courses registration process is underway and the varsity's admission portal has received 3,69,298 lakh applications as on August 23, 2021.  For the postgraduate courses, around 1,83,815 students have applied. Delhi University has received close to 30,019 applications for the MPhil/PhD programmes for the 2021 session.

It must be noted that the last date to submit the DU Applications for the UG courses is August 31, 2021. The application process for DU PG courses ended on August 21, 2021. Delhi University has opened the correction window for students who want to make changes to their application forms. Earlier, Delhi University has also added a new section in its admission portal for students seeking admission in PG courses. Candidates were asked to update their COVID-19 vaccine status on the portal while applying for PG admission.

Delhi University will be releasing the first cutoff list by October 1, 2021, and admission will begin from October 4, 2021. The Delhi University cut-off list was earlier scheduled to be released between September 7 to 10, 2021, however, considering that various Boards improvement exams are scheduled during that period, the release of the DU Cut off list has been postponed. 

It must be noted that the admissions for most of the courses offered at Delhi University are done on the basis of merit but for few courses, it is done on the basis of the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET).  Students who have applied for the various courses are advised to visit the official website for details regarding the entrance examinations and the admission procedure.
