Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has issued an urgent advisory to students, cautioning them against a rising fraudulent activities targeting academic community.

University highlighted increasing cases of scammers posing as official representatives to extract money through fake websites, emails, and messaging platforms, including WhatsApp. 

In a detailed notice posted on X earlier today, IGNOU has stated that all official communications regarding examinations and evaluations will only be disseminated through verified university channels, such as official IGNOU website and authorized email addresses.

IGNOU has requested students to ignore spam messages or links from unverified sources and report suspicious activities immediately.
